Alexander Evans is a current communications professional with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and a minor in media studies from William Paterson University.
Alex has experience in both traditional media and corporate communications settings. He was most recently a staff writer with Larry Brown Sports, and before that a proposal writer in the marketing department at National Vision Administrators, L.L.C. (NVA). Prior to joining NVA, Alex served as a corporate communications intern and associate at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. He also worked as a news and sports intern at The Bergen Record, and as an assistant editor for three optometry magazines—Vision Care Product News, Optical Lab Products, and Optometric Office—at First Vision Media Group.
During his time at William Paterson, Alex served as a staff writer, opinions editor and the co-managing editor for the school’s student-run newspaper, The Beacon.
Alex was also an on-air personality and game producer for the school’s award-winning radio station, Brave New Radio, and was the treasurer and one of 11 founding members of William Paterson's first chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
